I’m doing some work which requires the removal of the background from a photo. Thankfully a guide existed to do this using GIMP. It’s very useful and has saved me a lot of time!
I’ve been operating without the auto-complete function in the command prompt in Windows 7 for a couple of months now, ever since I had a virus which for some reason stopped it working. I’d tried numerous registry edits and other hacks to try and get it enabled again but to no avail. Now, quite sadly, I found the way to do it was this:
- Open a command prompt
- Click on the icon in the top left and select ‘Defaults’
- On the right under AutoComplete, tick the box and click OK
- Close the command prompt and open it again, et voila!
So ridiculously simple to fix, yet so frustrating when you don’t know how!
I’ve added a contact Page to the site, using the Fast Secure Contact Form. Not that anyone ever tries to contact me but it’s a nice feature to have I think, and the plugin seems to prevent most spam. I really want to get cracking with designing a theme for WordPress as the current one seems a little slow, although I’m not sure if that’s because of the Flickr plugin – I might remove it in a few days and see if it makes a difference. The major problem is time, I don’t seem to have any these days.
