Google Play have collected together the ‘Best of the Best‘ for 2013. This section of the Google Play site features the best apps, games, albums, movies and books of 2013.

The usual suspects can be found here – SwiftKey, Plants vs Zombies 2, the BBC News app – but there is also a selection of movies and albums. Only a brief selection is shown on this page; users can view the full selection by clicking ‘Read more’ and then choosing their preferred section.

Google have set up a poll to find out the best Android apps and games of 2013. The poll is featured here and allows users to vote in a selection of categories:

• Most addictive games
• Best franchise games
• Best games based on movies
• Best apps for enhancing the everyday
• Best apps for booking and buying
• Best Google apps

Each page has nine options, with the possibility of picking your own choice for the award. Voting only takes a few minutes so it’s worth doing to see which apps and games are seen as the best in their category.
